Phases of the study

People will be asked to join the study within 30 days of sustaining a concussion. Their recovery will be monitored for six months.

There are two study groups: Standard and Control.

Those in the standard group will be seen on two occasions, once within the first 3-6 weeks after their injury and again six months later. In the interim, research assistants will keep in touch with Standard participants monthly, via phone.

Whereas Control participants will only be seen once after six months and will not be contacted by phone.

After 6 months, about 20 participants will be interviewed for a more in depth discussion about their recovery.
